The Tablelands Way

This is an excellent route which really can be separated into two defined riding roads, the Bylong valley way north of Bathurst I will write about elsewhere. From Oberon to Goulburn the road that used to have some gravel has became a popular riding road and the government came up with the name Tablelands way.

Very scenic with terrific views riding along the ridges. The town of Taralga has a nice historic pub and Oberon has many good cafes.

  1. hey, nice posting brother. Thx for share it!

  2. This is a fantastic road, being based in Canberra I ride the Bungendore - Tarago - Goulburn section then on to Oberon through Sofala and on to Rylstone and the wonderful Bylong way about every 3 months. It is well surfaced, very few boys in blue and hunders of kilometers of corners. The Pub in Taralga has great pizza's all day and the bakery in Oberon does a nice pie. The side trips are endless as well.
