Well it's still raining outside so I won't make it to this place for real this week as planned however I will post a virtual look at it while awaiting for the weather to change.
Bylong Valley Way has a web site (click the text to visit) which gives a nice overview and some pictures of the area however for riders the road is important as well as the scenery. From the information I have gained the road was only sealed all the way in recent years and is in good condition.
It has been described as open with fast flowing curves in parts and with some tighter corners in one section but otherwise an easy flowing road with gentle curves that may encourage the burning of some carbon off the top of the pistons if you so desire.
More later...
Bylong Valley

I can confirm for you that the road is in A1 condition - enjoy it!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beaker, have to work out when I can reschedule my ride there. Will be third attempt!
ReplyDeleteDid the ride last weekend. If you look at the extended trip from Sandy Hollow all the way to Goulburn via Sofala I think it beats the Snowy. The Sofala Road has been fixed up beatifully and the Oberon Goulburn ride is what it is all about, no towns, no trucks, no police.
ReplyDeleteSounds good guys, we are heading to Tassie at end of month from Tamworth and will go this way.
ReplyDeleteThinking of staying at pub at Taralga on Oberon - Goulburn road. anyone stayed there..??
