Each year in Brisbane the Laverda club hosts the cities biggest motorcycle show in the park at Kangaroo point. I went along today for a look.
Turned out to be a warm and clear day - I walked over the Story Bridge first, the bikes were laid out below on either side.
A superb collection of motorcycles on display - I did not try to capture everything or even just the the best as it was too difficult for me to decide as nearly everything was noteworthy.
I was somewhat disappointed at how close together some of the displays were, in particular the main display on the eastern side of the bridge you really could only appreciated the bikes on the end of the rows as the others were all so close together to obscure each other.
Of course there is another unofficial show to be observed outside with an endless stream of motorcycles arriving and leaving, I could have sat in the pub up the road all day watching the procession.
I like these Victory motorcycles however they are priced at double what my Buell was which seems quite unreasonable given there is no prestigious brand name or special parts involved...
Well a nice show with lots of nice bikes. Good to see entry is still just a gold coin donation which goes to prove no need for other shows to charge rude $15+ entry fees.
About time I went for a ride!
